Dr ALEXIS NOGIER

Dr. Alexis Nogier has been practicing highly specialized hip surgery for over 15 years, both in Paris and southern Lyon.

After completing his medical studies in Lyon, he became a resident at the Hospitals of Paris and later a Fellow at Pitié Salpêtrière Hospital. In 2007, he established himself at Clinique Nollet and Clinique Trénel to develop highly specialized hip surgery.

Dr. Alexis Nogier is renowned for his expertise in treating hip pathologies in athletes, particularly through hip arthroscopy, a technique he learned from Dr. Thierry Boyer. He has operated on numerous international-level athletes and possesses unique experience in hip surgery for ballet dancers and the implantation of custom-made hip prostheses using the direct anterior approach.

Together with Dr. Jean-Louis Debiesse, he co-founded the Collegiate Consultations for unhappy hip replacement, dedicated to patients with challenging hip prostheses. They dedicate one Saturday each month to these consultations, along with Drs. Idriss Tourabaly and Cyril Courtin. To date, Dr. Alexis Nogier has consulted with over 1000 patients experiencing difficulties after hip prostheses.

The word of the surgeon

The hip is a complex joint that can be affected by pathologies that severely impact sports activities and quality of life. My daily challenge is to restore a stable, mobile, and pain-free hip, regardless of the patient’s goals or the complexity of the situation. From young athletes to older individuals and patients with challenging hip prostheses, I take on this challenge every day through my highly specialized experience in hip arthroscopy, conservative surgery, custom hip prostheses, and prosthesis revisions.
